Applying for CHIP or Medicaid, Online

Apply for Medicaid or CHIP at YourTexasBenefits.com

If you are pretty sure that you (or the family member you need coverage for) qualify for Medicaid or CHIP, it may be fastest to apply directly to YourTexasBenefits.com. If you choose, you can also apply for food assistance (SNAP, formerly called Food Stamps), or for Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF, cash assistance).

call 211 and select option 0,

go to an HHSC Community Partner's local office and then call 211 and select option 0,

or go to an HHSC local office and request assistance through the language line.
